"I AM BLOWN AWAY!! I see sooo much of myself in Taja. She has questions about her faith and is suffering under the shame of purity culture and a spiritually abusive church. Yet she still knows God. She knows that His song is love, even if her church hardly says the word "love" at all during the service. Taja has the thoughts, questions, and experiences of SO MANY teenagers today. This book calls out societal problems and speaks the experiences of a teenage girl growing up in a toxic church culture with beautifully poetic language! Any teen should read this book to know that they are not alone in questioning the world around them!!!"
"to say I enjoyed this book would be an understatement.. this is the type of book that makes you think about it long after you've read it. I learned a few things from it and the way it was written..no, the way it sucked you in was just jaw dropping. I had so much fun going along on Taja's journey. While she learned, so did I. It was an astonishing book and I'm so glad I picked this one up"
