"2.73… I feel bad for that, but it just… idk. I feel like there was a lot missing. If this was a 450-page book it would make more sense. I did highlight some quotes, but most of the book I was like “what are we doing here? how did we get here?” I felt like we were supposed to know these characters and feel attached, but I only cared for Elwood. Very random sex scene (fade to black), it was cute and probably my favorite part, but it was just so abrupt. Great idea, execution was not the best. "

"This book was alright. It was an interesting concept that kept me engaged throughout the story. The romance between the two characters was really well done I think. But the ending was kind of weird and I’m not sure how I liked that."

"This was a really interesting idea, but I think it fell a little short. I don’t really buy the romance between the MCs. The FMC went from hating the MMC and being super snarky, to Big Love from one paragraph to the next, and it was pretty jarring. The romance took front stage, as far as the story goes, but I think it should have been more of a supporting arc. There was so much going on in the actual plot, I think the author would have benefited from fleshing it out more and not ending it so abruptly

Many thanks to Netgalley for providing me with the DRC and allowing me to provide my honest review"
