In this sequel to Wallbanger, fan favorites Caroline Reynolds and Simon Parker negotiate the roller coaster of their new relationship while house-sitting in Sausalito.Playing house was never so much fun—or so confusing. With her boss on an extended honeymoon, Caroline’s working crazy-long hours to keep the interior design company running—especially since she’s also the lead designer for the renovation of a gorgeous old hotel. And with Simon, her hotshot photographer boyfriend, gallivanting all over the world for his job, the couple is heavy-duty into "absence makes the heart grow fonder" mode. No complaints about the great reunion sex, though! Then a trip back east to his childhood home has Simon questioning his nomadic lifestyle. He decides to be home more. A lot more. And he wants Caroline home more, too. Though their friends’ romantic lives provide plenty of welcome distraction, eventually Caroline and Simon have to sort out their relationship. Sure, more togetherness is a good thing—but does less traveling and working have to mean the other extreme? Apple pie and picket fences? With this second book in the Cocktail series, USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton delivers another delicious, frothy confection of a book, shaking up her characters, stirring in laugh-out-loud humor, and serving sizzling romance straight up!

"This is another book that I waited to read after I had bought it. This was also bought the day it came out. You see, Wallbanger is still one of my favorite romances. Ever. It's funny, snarky, charming and sexy. What could top that? So I waited. I decided maybe this would be a camping read? Didn't read it then either. Finally, yesterday I decided I've been searching for a good romance for a while and finding only duds, maybe it was time to read this. Good choice!

Did I mention sexy? That Simon! He sure knows how to make a girl hot! There are very few books out there than can make me gooey on the inside from straight up vanilla sex. Sure, I like a few of my kinks and this doesn't have a single one of them. While most other books still have a storyline I love, the sex wasn't something that made me melt on the inside. Sex scenes in some books in contemporary romance are forgettable. Sorry, other books! This and the first? So not forgettable. Because they have something that I think lacks in most other books. Passion that jumps off the page. Passion so strong that even I could feel it. That right there? Sexy. Beyond. Belief.

Sorry, had to throw another one in there. Why? Because Simon and Caroline could do it anywhere and they have. They love each other and have so much passion for one another that sometimes they just can't wait for a bed. And hey! Who needs a bed when there's a perfectly good staircase right there! But what do I love most about this book? Besides Simon? Everything is tasteful. Never at any point does this feel like a *****. Never does it feel cheap. It's tasteful, fun, snarky and above all, sexy.

Of course, this does have a great story to go along with the great sex. Great sex doesn't a book make. Caroline and Simon are fantastic characters and even they have their moments where they fight. Things come up and well, nothing is resolved because someone holds in all in. Two guesses who it was. They have their conflict but <spoiler>no matter how bad things get, they never once thought about throwing in the towel. No one broke up with the other only to get back together. Instead, they did something amazing. They worked through it. Crazy concept, right?</spoiler>

Even though the next book isn't about them, I'm still looking forward to reading it. I liked Viv when she was introduced and I'm excited for more snark and hopefully just as great sex in the next books to come. See what I did there? Ha. Okay, my brain is officially in the gutter after reading this, but who can blame a girl? The blame lies with Simon. Get this, read it and be ready for great sex and great characters."
"It was okay book. I didn't really enjoy it as much as the first one and it didn't make me laugh out loud as much as the first one, either. I was really looking forward to reading this book, too. I was extremely disappointed with this one.

Caroline was really annoying in this book. It just seemed all she did was whine and complain and her jokes seemed to fall flat with me. I didn't like the jokes at all, really, since they were very repetitive. I loved Simon since he was still the same person as he was in the first book. Sophia annoyed the **** out of me and I don't think her and Neil's argument should've gone on for as long as it did."
