When Benzion Netanyahu shows up for an interview, family unexpectedly in tow, Blum plays the reluctant host to guests who proceed to lay waste to his American complacencies. Mixing fiction with nonfiction, the campus novel with the lecture, The Netanyahus is a wildly inventive, genre-bending comedy of blending, identity, and politics that finds Joshua Cohen at the height of his powers.

"This book was outrageous 🙌. The Netanyahu family acted so rude and intolerable omg. Also I was completely blindsided by Judie acting out, ensuring a nose job and then having sex with some random kid. Poor Professor Blum, just hearing him go through all that with his family too, I would have been packing my bags trying to get the hell out of dodge. At that point, the school and Netanyahu family were dead to me. Excellent book "
"Humor and advanced vocabulary!"
