"This book was ok at times. I wanted more detail or mystery to the family that was living in the house prior.

Makes me sad how one of the families became dysfunctional.

The concept overall was different. Different perspective of a Colonel in the military having to move into a house occupied by Germans. Awkward.

Overall, this book wasn't particularly exciting. It wasn't a "I can't put it down" sort of book.

I did like reading about the sights and what was going on with the people who were living in Germany after the bombs dropped and the hardships they faced, I have no doubt there was some truth to that and that's sad."
