Zeus has punished his son Apollo--god of the sun, music, archery, poetry, and more--by casting him down to earth in the form of a gawky, acne-covered sixteen-year-old mortal named Lester. The only way Apollo can reclaim his rightful place on Mount Olympus is by restoring several Oracles that have gone dark.

"I want to start with a note for the parents, saying that though the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series were kid-friendly, these Trials of Apollo books are more PG-13 due to their graphic violence and gruesome descriptions, as well as sexual suggestions throughout (through narrations and other words). That’s at least how I felt while reading it.

Now to the actual book review, so far these books are really hard to get in to. Though the individual books show character development throughout, it’s like the next book starts from scratch and suddenly he’s unbearable again. I wish the character development would carry over so the books didn’t feel so annoying. Maybe it’s because I listened to them. I’m only finishing the series because I started it. Maybe (hopefully) my opinion will change."

Twitter || Blog || Pinterest || Tumblr || Instagram || Facebook"
"Decent second book. Feels like a lot of the same, but I guess that’s what happens when you write stories about demigods and always have them facing monsters. Apollo is growing on me - although I suppose he’s growing as a person../god so that’s to be expected? Maybe. Either way, he’s definitely less annoying!"

"This book/ series is a side series surrounding the Percy Jackson series. It’s about the quests Apollo must go on after being banished to earth"
