"Phenomenal book! Took me a little white to get going hair because of the old style writing and small font, but was worth it! Really great book for kids/tweens to understand the injustice of the world around us. Felt very moved by the end of it. A little surprised that this is juvenile fiction, as it deals with some heavy topics and usage of words such as the n-word. That being said, I guess these are things that kids should be taught about young… if you do have your kid/tween read it though, perhaps a good conversation about things in the book would be valuable and helpful! Great book, great morals!"
