"SPOILERS: I had high hopes when I started reading about a ten year old travelling first class on the titanic. This was going to be the titanic story told from the point of view of a lifeboat survivor. A terrifying front row seat to a terrible tragedy that had begun as a great adventure.
Nope. A door. Always a door. One or two people survived by clinging to a door and now it is the way every fictional survivor (regardless of class or age) managed to get away from the sinking titanic.
A note about the panther: why? It seemed misplaced and unnecessary. It seemed like its own separate adventure that distracted from the titanic. "
