***OVER A MILLION COPIES OF THE IRON DRUID BOOKS SOLD***'American Gods meets Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden' SFF WorldBook one in the New York Times bestselling Iron Druid Chronicles, the vastly popular contemporary fantasy series starring hero Atticus O'Sullivan - filled with mystery, magic and mayhem.Atticus O'Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he's twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer.Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he's hounded Atticus for centuries. Now the determined deity has tracked him down, and Atticus will need all his power - plus the help of a seductive goddess of death, his vampire and werewolf team of attorneys, a sexy bartender possessed by a Hindu witch, and some good old-fashioned luck of the Irish - to kick some Celtic arse and deliver himself from evil.Praise for the Iron Druid Chronicles:'Entertaining, steeped in a ton of mythology, populated by awesome characters' Civilian Reader'Atticus and his crew are a breath of fresh air! . . . "Book 1 Iron Druid Series - This series is not for the novice fantasy book reader. Follow Druid, Atticus, through a 10 book series. Meet werewolves, vampires, witches, gods of all kinds and so much more. To be honest my favorite character is actually his dog, Oberon!"

"I love this series. It really has it all in my opinion. The iron druid deals with many supernatural things and gods throughout the series. Well written, fast paced, action packed and his wolfhound is awesome!"

"This entire series is great on many fronts. I especially enjoyed the main character’s care free attitude and sense of humour. He taught his dog to talk to him and the dog is hilarious. It has gods from all religions and mythologies as well as vampires, werewolves and so much more. All of this happening on earth with humanity oblivious to it all. "

"This was a surprise. This had been in my tbr pile for a while but I never got around to it. I'm not a fan of witches and I thought that this was how it might play out. I was wrong. Yay! I loved this, I loved Atticus and I loved Oberon. These two were fun and I loved their story. Atticus seems like a cool fellow. The druid thing is interesting and I'm very interested to see where his story goes.

I haven't read any books based on druids that I know of. This was a much needed break in all the other stories that seem to blend together with the werewolves or vampires or the like. I love different. I love being taken by surprise. I love fun, lively characters. I love good world building without it dulling the story or the experience. This book has managed to provide everything I love and give me a new series to continue reading.

On to the next!"

"There's something in this book that just fails to reach me, and I can't put my finger on what. Not bad either - continuing on because I need something to listen to in the car and I want to see what everybody's going so crazy about. Maybe it'll catch me later.

Edit: I'm like 60% of the way through book 3 right now, and I think it's hit me. Damnit, Atticus is just way too perfect. Gary Stu, meet Atticus, he's better than you. And that holier-than-thou, I'm-so-clever attitude just wanders around with him all through all three books. I'm still reading, but mostly because I ought to. But whatever people say, this is absolutely not the heir to Dresden -- Dresden being gritty, exhausted, ground down and coming up against odds that he has no chance of beating; Atticus is just tweaking the nose of whatever god attempts to tell him no and doing it anyway."

"If you love the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher do yourself a favor, if you haven't already, start reading the Iron Druid by Kevin Hearne starting with Hounded. The magic, action and hilarity are similar and just as enjoyable. Highly reccomend just to hear what Oberon has to say next!!"

"Yeah! I liked it. You will too if you like that casual type of main protagonist and books that feel like the main character is just sitting next to you, chatting away. Also, magic and a talking dog!"

"I absolutely love this book. The dialogue is quick and witty and the background information on different mythologies and religious is amazing. If you don't like long detailed action scenes like me, you may need to skim a little, but otherwise, perfect book. I love it. ❤ #Pagan #Mtthology #Fiction #Druidry"
