"The plot twists had me screaming. I thought this was your typical YA and I was so wrong. Best book I've read this year! Read in one sitting"

"At first I didn’t like the book because of how slow everything felt. There didn’t seem to be much of a plot. Kind of like it was a slice of life book? But gosh I liked the ending a lot. The last 5 chapters kind of made up for everything else. The only thing that kind of stuck out was how LITERAL LAST TWO SENTENCES went against everything we knew about the main character before. I feel like the author decided last minute to add it in and was like WELP. That should do! But I’ll update this once I’ve read the next book.
Edit: Started the second book. It entirely hinges upon what I discovered in the last 2 sentences of the first book. Author must’ve decided to turn it into a series last-minute?"
