"This is my first book by this author and from The Midnight Dynasty series. I might have enjoyed this a little more if I were more familiar with the characters from this series, so that would definitely be a me problem. I do look forward to reading more titles from the collection.

If you’re looking for spice, it doesn’t come until you’re 90% into the book. It was an awfully long wait to get to that point. I didn’t really feel a spark between Charlotte and Perry, but I suppose with an arranged marriage it’s to be expected. I imagine in the next book the relationship & chemistry will progress nicely.

This was more like a really long prologue that ends on a cliffhanger. A confusing one at that. I’m interested to see how that plays out in the next installment. I feel like having some knowledge of the world and characters within The Midnight Dynasty would be beneficial before reading this book.

ARC REVIEW"
