"So let me be clear to anyone who's trying to figure out if this book is for them, this book IS glorified erotica even if it's slightly longer than most erotica is. The book is steamy but there is little to no world building and very little character development. You are dropped right into a plot line that honestly probably would have felt more natural if there was a little build up for understanding the factions and who and what they are, the laws they adhere, and the preexisting relationships between all the people at play. I still thought the book was all right but it's not what I would describe as transporting like Neon Gods felt to me."
