It Had to Be You

"Had a chance to read this book because of NetGalley!<br/><br/>A hot guy auction?? When is that NOT a good idea!?! Do those things actually happen IRL ! If so i NEED to know where!!! That chapter was hot!<br/>Judging by the description up there I thought i was just gonna read another quick, cutesy little love story with the heartfelt ooos and ahhhs then happily ever after THE END! Ha this was anything but your normal love story!! Girl meets boy, girl and boy are best friends until boy turns into a jerk out of no where and ditches girl, girl and boy live in same small town bickering back and forth to hide the sexual tension, girl gets pushed into buying guy at auction, guy thinks he's about to lucky but instead girl decides to get a little revenge making him do chores, eventually turning him into her "construction bitch" as she loves to call him, guy decides to show his vulnerable side by getting hurt (probably on purpose.. let's face it girls we are very gullible creatures) and limping around like a baby! Boy knows he has girl right where he wants her so then he decides to show her his thoughful side by doing everything he can to make everything up to her, while still holding in this huge secret that could crush her entire world.<br/>Thats only a third of this crazy Story! Between the crazy old Instagraming geriatrics, the town prankster and two of the girls getting back at the Cheating ex boyfriend on a drunken night, There is a little something for everyone. One thing i can promise you, There is no way you can read this book and not laugh your butt off! But then there is this whole other half of the book, out of nowhere comes these jaw dropping action packed scenes where Oliver and Adam turn into complete badasses! I'm not sure how Melissa Kate did it but it's like she took two seperate good storys and EXPERTLY meshed them together creating one GREAT book! Everything matches up perfectly just the way it should, and you finish feeling completely satisfied.<br/><br/>Didn't realize til after this is actually part of a series, I barely noticed so can be read as a standalone book just fine.<br/>Whole thing took about 5 hours to read."
