"This was not at all what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a 500 page joke, but it’s actually a well thought out alternate history about a Romanian rebel group fighting Nazi forces. In this alternate history, Dracula does exist, but the story isn’t the same as the popularized novel. Professor Van Helsing watches as the Nazis ravage his home and decides he needs to take drastic measures, even if it means unleashing the undead. The novel switches between multiple perspectives told from different formats (journal, unpublished novel, Nazi correspondence, etc.). However, Harker’s character was really annoying and misogynistic, and some parts were a little unnecessary. Overall, I was impressed and enjoyed it!"
