"I found this in my boyfriend's mum's donate pile and I decided to read it. I've been in the ER a lot over the past few years. Especially for my brother's type one diabetes and my great aunt's stage three heart failure and AFib. I remember in late May when they put her in comfort care in the ICU how comforting those nurses were for me especially with her being incoherent and unconscious while being on morphine. I can't imagine how mentally difficult it is for them to turn off the life saving devices only to put on the painkillers and wait for her passing. My gratitude goes to the nurses in the ER who explained what happened while my great aunt was also saying on and off between sleeping what happened and that she's alright. I have a lot of respect for each and every nurse that goes through seeing deaths and calming down psychological patients. "
