"The first half of the book felt a bit “young adult”. But then it turned around, even had some good twists to it. I ended up really enjoying it and now look forward to the next books in the series! "

"* SPOILERS* So what initiated me reading this well deserved TBR jar selection was…in fact….a reading slump. But praise Colleen Hoover’s books for ALWAYS without a doubt pulling me from the slump and having me BINGE this whole book from 2am to 11am the following day. I mean HOLY COW. Loved. DEVOURED.
When starting this I was honestly skeptical about the storyline (no that doesn’t mean I lost faith in our QUEEN…how rude for you to assume such insulting things) However, I just wasn’t sold on Sky’s character in the beginning. Six seemed like a bestie I need in my life though if we’re being honest. Everyone needs a Six in their life…no joke.
But this seemed like it was starting off as the popular guy meets homeschooled girl type of trope, you know? The vibe from Sky and Holder at the grocery store just gave me that which I’m a sucker for honestly (can we talk about how popular kids nowadays are so ugly and unattractive compared to popular kids depicted in 90s romance movies?? I would’ve been SWOONED. anyways back to my main point…) Did anyone else get the ick when Sky kept getting scared of Holder for literally just having emotions?! (Should an average woman be scared by his anger or am I just toxic?? That’s a secret I’ll never tell…HA HA NO. I’m just kidding, but in all seriousness I think I should analyze that question) AND THEN THE HYPOCRISY?!?! WOOO GIRL I WAS PUNCHING AIR I TELL YOU! She hated the fact everyone assumed she was a h*e but then believed everything she heard about Holder…I mean like she had any character to be able to judge that BEAUTIFUL DIMPLED MAN. (I may be biased with Holder, I think the character was WAY too appealing to me and think every man should be a Dean Holder type)
** I copied and pasted my goodreads review & it was too long sadly. Go to my link in bio to go read it all :) "
"This wasn’t my favorite book of hers, but it was still good. It was a little slow in some areas and got bored for a few chapters, but it then picked up. I really like Holder - he seems like a really genuine guy and it’s nice when characters don’t have horrible flaws to work around. I’ll definitely finish the hopeless series.

"I rate this book like a 3.7 stars I loved the relationship it wasn’t a toxic one but the way holder is so nice and understanding to sky makes me happy. I liked the way the story was kind of like a mystery to and the way the events happened I think were really well written and I really enjoyed this book. "
