"Even going into the second book it was still really fun describing this book to friends, "ships made of dragon bones, and children are sometimes sacrificed to them and they turn into lights". <br/><br/>i saw in another review what isn't talked enough about, the Guilleme, what I picture look like a "metal" big bird that control the winds. The relationship to the magic system is very well done. Ship wife Meas is fantastic character with a unique POV. Joron is hit or miss with me still.....maybe he'll redeem himself for me in the 3rd book that I can't wait to get!"
