"What a wonderful ending to the series! We follow Sieh very closely through more twists and turns than I expected coming into the last book. He is the heart of this universe, and it was a gift to be so close to him."

"NK Jemisin is officially my favorite author and I never thought I'd ever be able to say that definitively about any author. I first read the Broken Kingdoms (the second book in this series) because I didn't realize it was a trilogy. When I finished it though and discovered in the back of the book that there was more I couldn't have been more excited. I CONSUMED these books. The Inheritance Trilogy (which this is the first book of) is truly my favorite book series- really only rivaled by NK Jemisin's other series! Such vivid world creation. I love the way that every character is so real; so lovable yet so flawed. Could not recommend more highly!<3<3<3"
"4.5 stars, tbh. Maybe 4 if Im comparing to the other books in this trilogy, or if Im rating on what I *wanted* to happen but I couldn’t stop so it gets 5 stars. I had no expectations of this book, as the first two books could have been stand-alone books and had different main characters. This one is written from Sieh, the boy-trickster-god’s point of view. It is sweet, sad, and funny in parts. There is more in-depth description of the true nature of gods and godlings which I guess is the premise here. I just loved all three books, separate or alone."
