The aliens' human collaborators may have been defeated, but the presence of the sophons, the subatomic particles that allow Trisolaris instant access to all human information, means that Earth's defense plans are totally exposed to the enemy. Only the human mind remains a secret. This is the motivation for the Wallfacer Project, a daring plan that grants four men enormous resources to design secret strategies, hidden through deceit and misdirection from Earth and Trisolaris alike. Three of the Wallfacers are influential statesmen and scientists, but the fourth is a total unknown. Luo Ji, an unambitious Chinese astronomer and sociologist, is baffled by his new status. All he knows is that he's the one Wallfacer that Trisolaris wants dead. The Three-Body Problem SeriesThe Three-Body ProblemThe Dark ForestDeath's EndOther Books by Cixin LiuBall Lightning Supernova EraTo Hold Up the SkyThe Wandering EarthA View from the StarsAt the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

"I liked this much better than the first book, much more philosophically rooted. Don’t get me wrong, there is still an absurd focus on theoretical scientific concepts (is this to appeal to actual physicists/theoreticians? To make the reader feel like they “understand” or at least approached something very complex? I have no idea, but I think this only occasionally has plot significance). But this one was a lot more thinky and, ultimately, paranoia fueling, lol. Regardless, I enjoyed this more than the first, looking forward to finishing the trilogy up soon!"

"This book is an amazing continuation of the series. There are parts that are very slow and feel extremely unnecessary and also very... well strange. But afterwards, you realize that... its only a little more necessary than nothing. However, aside from that and especially the ending, the story has some amazing real science and theory. It's an alien book that isn't afraid to explore all sides of both cosmic society and humanity itself. Sets up great for the last book.
The main character takes a very long time to realize hes the main character and becomes likable only for key parts of the book, but I think that shows his true humanity. Lots of this book is shrouded in mystery, as we the audience is kept in the dark as well as the rest of the world. It leads to amazing reveals. Highly recommend. "
"Great follow up to 3-Body. Lots more unique things to love about this one - wallfacers and wallbreakers, living underground, the doomsday battle, the immense amount of time it takes to fly between stars, The Dark Forest Theory, and Luo Ji’s arc from nobody to fierce swordholder. I also enjoyed considering the dilemma of the warships fleeing from destruction and without any hope to return to earth are humans still human?"
