You like tea. I like books. Care to open a shop and forget the world exists? All Reyna and Kianthe want is to open a bookshop that serves tea. Worn wooden floors, plants on every table, firelight drifting between the rafters... all complemented by love and good company. Thing is, Reyna works as one of the Queen's private guards, and Kianthe is the most powerful mage in existence. Leaving their lives isn't so easy. But after an assassin takes Reyna hostage, she decides she's thoroughly done risking her life for a self-centered queen. Meanwhile, Kianthe has been waiting for a chance to flee responsibility-all the better that her girlfriend is on board. Together, they settle in Tawney, a town nestled in the icy tundra near dragon country, and open the shop of their dreams. What follows is a cozy tale of mishaps, mysteries, and a murderous queen throwing the realm's biggest temper tantrum. In a story brimming with hurt/comfort and quiet fireside conversations, these two women will discover just what they mean to each other... and the world.

"Another wonderful addition to the cozy fantasy genre. I’m loving the warm vibes of people enjoying life. Please read this book if you ever thought “wow the protagonist could really use a hug, anyone gonna give her one?” Also healthy, realistic, queer romance: lovely."

"This is such a cute story. I loved reading about these two women fighting and creating for their dream life together. Renya and Kianthe are perfect for one another and i can't count the times i blushed and giggled reading this. The pacing is a bit slow in the beginning but im so happy I stuck with this book. Such a cute fantasy! 100% recommend this book!"
"(4.5 stars, rounded up) This book was simply adorable. It’s just a little light read about two women who open a bookstore in a fantasy world to escape the perils of reality, even if it catches up to them. Reyna and Kianthe were just so cute together, and their relationship was very healthy and less mature than other adult romances. There’s also a great side cast and lots of focus on community. Plus, there’s a bit of action for fans of more developed fantasy novels. Also, all the baked goods and tea just sounded amazing, why must authors torture us with these amazing ideas that don’t exist in real life? My only complaint is that the pacing was a bit off, going from more intense scenes to lighter, slower ones way too quickly, and the ending was a little anticlimactic. Otherwise, I simply loved this book, and I’m preordering the sequel immediately. This is just such a wholesome book, and is best read when unwinding for a few hours with a cup of tea. "
"I have said it before but I love cozy fantasy though I confess this one kind of skirts the line. First of all it’s a bit more romance heavy given that the premise is the two main characters are in a forbidden relationship already so it’s less the building of that and more them trying to build a life outside of life threatening danger. There is more action in this one, more than any other cozy fantasy I have read so far. Not so much I would call this a normal fantasy but more than something like ‘Legends and Lattes’ or ‘Cursed Cocktails’. I would give this a five stars but one thing I didn’t like was the cliff hanger ending which is always tough when you don’t know when the next book is coming out (luckily I found out the author is putting out the sequel soon so there will be answers).
