"Okay, it did tie together thematically at the end in an interesting way. I still wish the rest of the book had been as engrossing as the climax. The plot is kinda messy and characters’ inner monologues get tedious with repetition. It all ends up being satisfying eventually, but I wish it had been equally as satisfying making my way through."
"This book was a true emotional rollercoaster. I wish every book was like this one. The love, angst, and emotions at every twist and turn felt more real than anything I’ve read in a long time. Ted Dekker was unafraid to make Renee a damsel in distress, and yet she was badass the whole way. "
