Sarah Andersen
These casually drawn, perfectly on-point comics by the hugely popular young artist Sarah Andersen are for the rest of us. They document the wasting of entire beautiful weekends on the internet, the unbearable agony of holding hands on the street with a gorgeous guy, and dreaming all day of getting home and back into pajamas. In other words, the horrors and awkwardnesses of young modern life. Oh and they are totally not autobiographical. At all.Adulthood Is a Myth presents many fan favorites plus dozens of all-new comics exclusive to this book. Sarah's frankness on personal issues like body image, self-consciousness, introversion, relationships, and the frequency of bra-washing makes her comics highly relatable and deeply hilarious, showcasing how she became one of the most influential voices in web cartoonists.

"3.5 stars<br/><br/>It has a lot of funny stuff to relate to (especially if you are an introvert). This was witen by a girl so most situation hit girls more than guys. It was fun and really entertaining. Also, the art is really cute.<br/><br/>The reason that I rated this lower was because a lot of the comics are similar to jokes i’ve heard a million times. Like giving a presentation, being an introvert and some of the low self esteem. The like the second one a little bit better. <br/><img src="https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/hostedimages/1456995372i/18304403.jpg" alt="description"/>"
"How have I seen these cartoons a million times online and never realized that they were all in this book? Obviously I went through these all in one sitting, and I loved them. It’s like the author tapped into my brain and regurgitating all my thoughts in cute graphic form. I’m definitely going to check out the rest of her books whenever I need to feel not alone in the world. It’s nice to know my struggles aren’t unique at all."

"<strong>Great cartoons. Made me feel better</strong><br/><br/>This comic book is something every introvert or anxious person should read. It accurately describes real life situations that make the socially challenges cringe, while putting it in a Laugh Out Loud perspective. Best comic I have read this year. Full stars."
