There are some debts you can't repay... Josh Walker is loyal, reckless, and every girl's dream. But he only has eyes for December Howard, the girl he has yearned for since his high school hockey days. Together they have survived grief, the military, distance, and time as they've fought for stolen weekends between his post at Ft. Rucker and her schooling at Vanderbilt. Now that Josh is a medevac pilot and Ember is headed toward graduation, they're moving on—and in—together.Ember never wanted the Army life, but loving Josh means accepting whatever the army dictates—even when that means saying goodbye as Josh heads to Afghanistan, a country that nearly killed him once before and that took her father. But filling their last days together with love, passion, and plans for their future doesn't temper Ember's fear, and if there's one thing she's learned from her father's death, it's that there are some obstacles even love can't conquer.Flight school is over. This is war.The Flight & Glory series is best enjoyed in order.Reading Order:Book #1 Full MeasuresBook #2 Eyes Turned SkywardBook #3 Beyond What is GivenBook #4 Hallowed GroundBook #5 The Reality of Everything

"<strong>But wait there's more</strong><br/><br/>This book was a test of my patience. I wavered between 2 and 3 stars. I only gave it 3 stars because I respect the author's ability. I flat out detested this book. I've read thousands of books and have never hated a character as much as I hated Josh. The most selfish, manipulative, sex-obsessed, woah-is-me, piece of garbage ever written. I could go on and on about all the reasons why, but I don't have the time. I had to stop reading constantly because I couldn't stand to read anymore about how Ember was his everything when all he did was willingly hurt her over and over. It was like an infomercial because every time I thought he couldn't get any worse the author came through with the "but, wait there's more!". Ember, much like the other female leads in this series, is a doormat throughout. Not matter how badly Josh tears her apart, all it takes is one look at him and she is on her knees begging. This story mistakes lust for love because that's all Josh has for her. Lust. His actions never once show he loves her but the endless sex and thoughts of sex are supposed to fill that void for us as the reader. I had to skip over the sex scenes because they went on forever. This book has the HEA but I hated it. I hate that Josh could emotionally and mentally water board Ember the entire book with no repercussions. I wanted him to die or at least leave her alone. I wanted her to end up with anyone else. I'm not sure why I was supposed to root for them or why I was supposed to like this book. It's not enjoyable. It's not fun. It's not romantic. It's masochistic. It's an a penthouse forum letter. I'm changing my rating to 2 stars because there was just nothing u enjoyed about this book. I started this series because I wanted to read the next book in this series. I'm going to but I already know I'm going to hate it because Morgan is going to be pathetic. Will didn't even have feelings for her. She's his 3rd choice, but like the other girls, she'll be too weak to let that matter. Ugh. I hate it already."
