"I really enjoyed this book! I saw the twists and turns coming but it was a good easy read. "

"I’m hesitant on how to rate this one! I was in a bit of a reading slump and was hoping this book would be the page-turner I needed to get my groove back. Unfortunately, I found myself stopping after just a few pages, at times, and losing interest.
Don’t get me wrong though, the storyline is well presented and a lot more complex than it first seems, and I love the author’s writing style.
It just didn’t keep me captivated enough, especially in the first half. Even the author’s language (despite being beautiful) was repetitive.
This book feels modern and reads like a horror movie, which I love! However, some pop culture references seemed a little cheesy and unnecessary to me. That’s very personal though, some might love this aspect.
By the end, I did feel a certain attachment to the characters (although most of them are very unpleasant and stereotypical) and was impressed by some surprises that came along and how wild it actually became.
It feels like it could happen to anyone, which is the scary part. Suspense and thrill done right, it just took some patience before it delivered."
"I love Ania Ahlborn because she’s never afraid to go all in on the horror. Nobody is ever safe in her stories, but I hated all of these characters. The family’s lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and drove me nuts. Even though this one wasn’t a winner for me, I still adore this author and will always read everything she publishes."
