"I read this in a day and I did enjoy it but of all the CoHo books I’ve read…this has been my least favorite. It felt very immature and corny as others have said. I love Slammed and I was excited to get a continuation of their story but felt like the whole book was the couple making a big deal about virginity and I think I would have preferred more focus on all the massive adversities this couple faces as they raise two children. "
"As was the first, this continued to be on the “young adult” side and a bit corny. 4/5 ⭐️"

this book was personally better than the first. i love how there isn’t spice in this series from colleen hoover and i know it was an earlier book she wrote so it would be different. but it’s nice seeing a genuine love story with the only heartbreak being the death of both parents. now don’t take this as me saying it isn’t just as significant, but it brought them together and made a good story with the vase. the vase of stars was the absolute cutest thing i think she could’ve incorporated into the book. lake’s mother was still very much in this book despite her dying. and the car accident…i could’ve sworn it was leading up to lake dying and i was about to be so disappointed. but i think that’s how colleen hoover made this one better. she took something you expected to happen and changed the reality. it wasn’t her typical heartbreak nor mean girl drama with vaughn.
