"This is a very inspiring and heart wrenching story.
While historical detail can be interesting, I just did not need to know how Mary spent each day in the wilderness. It began to drag on after about 100 pages of no major plot points…just what she ate and that she walked farther. If you can get past the monotony of her time in the wilderness, it is worth the read. "Follow the River is CE Ricci's debut, and I am highly impressed. I couldn’t tell this is her first book. I felt every single emotion; she killed it. Every word just flowed flawlessly from page to page. I suggest going In blind like I did. You may also want to have some tissues on hand.

Follow The River is an M/M romance with some dark content. There is a trigger warning, and take it seriously. This book so not for the faint of heart. But if you're not sensitive, I highly recommend this book. I enjoyed every single word of this book.

River and Ciarain are both broken souls. They may fit beautifully together if they don’t kill each other first. So much angst between the two. Makes for steamy sex scenes. The fact they are both football players is a bonus. I fell in love with both of them. But I connected with Ciarain. There will be times you are ****** at him. But as he sheds his layers, you fall in love with him. River is just a beautiful soul and cocky. I was laughing so many times with his comebacks. Some secrets are revealed, and I suspect there is more.

That cliffhanger nearly killed me and is a perfect handoff to book two, and left me wanting more. Now I just need to be patient for the next book."

"Horrible read. Everything was so negative and uncomfortable and put me in such a weird headspace. DNF"
