"Ugh. Just so good. I can't describe why it's so good: it just is. "

"Mostly came into this franchise from the video game. So I figured I’d give the original novels and chances and I’m glad that I did. This was really fun to read. It mostly plays out as short stories the lead character, Geralt is telling. It comes together real nice though. Also made it easy to read. I’ve you’ve never read the books or played the games, then know this is for mature readers. Keep away from children. Otherwise, I can’t read to read the next novel."
"Enjoyed this very much. I watched the show on Netflix first and I was surprised how close to the book they kept it. I love Geralts character just a smirking badass with a soft side. Not to much world building which is usually my favorite part. There were many creatures and plots though all different than I would have orginal guessed. For example virgins could summon unicorns but only to kill them. So you had normal stories but all with their own twist."
"This was my first fantasy and I loved it!! Although this was a anthology of short stories it was still amazing!!"

"This was a painful read for me and I would not recommend this book to anyone who only speaks English.

It’s 6-7 short stories and they are not broken up in chapters.

What made it worse, was the audiobook version, and the terrible accents the narrator failed to pull off.

No more Geralt for me and after reading this I immediately deleted it from Netflix so I would never be tempted to even watch this train wreck on screen."
"I started the book series after watching the Netflix and it's crazy how close both are! The Last Wish focuses on Geralt's adventures fighting creatures and moving through different towns finding work. Andrzej Sapkowski wrote amazing characters and was very detailed with every word to paint the perfect picture. I can't wait to read the second book!"
"Wow Geralt lied about being a gigolo! On a serious note the format of this novel is very unique. Since it's a fantasy series starting with a collection of short stories. However it has one short story weaved throughout the whole novel. This book is rock solid giving the reader a interesting sample of the world of The Witcher. Overall this novel is one I'd certainly recommend, due mostly to the leading man Geralt. Who is a interesting evolution of the stoic bad-ass. #thelastwish #grimdark "
