"It's amazing the amount of information I can lose over a period of time. The amount of books in this series is a bit crazy and the more I read the less I remember from the first ones. There was a slew of things different about Eve in this that I had forgotten.<br/><br/>For instance, her relationship with Peabody was completely different before Peabody was assigned to Dallas. Less bickering, less teasing, but still had a few one liners. You can see they had a good foundation for their friendship.<br/><br/>This is all before Eve and Roarke settle into their relationship. Eve shows a lot of doubt and this book is no exception. She's nervous and even feeling out of her depth on the personal front. The one thing I do love about these books in the relationship department is that there is no stupid fight to break up the couple. Sure, they fight, bicker, argue, and take some below-the-belt shots, but they always work through it. Maybe not right away, but for the most part, they always come back to each other."
