"I liked this book mainly because it was extremely descriptive. The moments described were so wonderfully detailed it felt as if I was right there with the characters . Some of the feelings that the author describes are very relatable and just comforting and human. However, this book was so realistic in a very sad way. It paints reality as it is, from the eyes of people with addictions, people with insecurities, people who reject belief in God. So although it was on the depressing side I still enjoyed it because of how beautifully written and real it was. "

"A super great read! I’ve never read a full out romance book and find this book a great way to dive into the genre without it being a complete “tik tok book”. I did not know what to expect after reading the Inner description but I immediately could not put the book Down. You learn to love and hate the characters and I think the reason this book is rated poorly is how people felt about Frank and Cleo, not the actual writing itself. <br/>The book does have some “unbelievable” parts, including Cleo just openly being so sexual with a man she just met. But I mean who knows? I guess it really builds the bridge of her being sort of a ****. They even say before they got married like they aren’t best friends, they just hook up. It wasn’t a real marriage from the get-go and they both KNEW that, so why did they try so freaking hard to make it one. The trips, the honeymoon…. It’s clear that Frank genuinely wanted a wedding, pictures, family and Cleo just saw the whole thing as a facade. Her hooking up stories, the cocaine stories, her being a young 20 something married to an alcoholic 40 year old…. Like cmon.<br/>I’m actually happy and surprised that the book does not end on a happy note. I mean I’ve seen a lot of people say they rooted for Eleanor but COME ON. She’s a homewrecker!!!! Even if they weren’t in love, they are married. Either way, totally recommend. Super easy read."

Но внутри каждый из них живет со своим багажом негативного опыта, травм, психологических и физиологических проблем. Под маской беззаботности и веселья скрываются депрессия, классовое неравенство, эпилепсия, разного рода зависимости. <br/><br/>Это меланхоличная книга, но она подходит под такое же настроение, потому что не усугубляет его, а как в процитированной выше истории, как бы прыгает в грусть вместе с читателями, и благодаря этому они перестают быть одинокими.<br/><br/>Поставила 5/5, мне зашла идеально, но явно понравится не всем. Очень похожа на «Мой год отдыха и релакса» Отессы Мошфег."
