The Line of His People

Orphaned by a catastrophic Viking raid, Abriel -- a bold, intelligent young man set apart from his peers by his blond hair and blue eyes -- never fully integrates into the monastic order that rescued him. While digging into his past, he learns of a plot by his church to raise an army and exterminate a community of Norse settlers on his home island of Herius. With great resolve, Abriel visits the settlement to warn them of their impending doom. The Norsemen ignore him. When they are called north to war, Abriel bravely chooses to follow. Aided by a particularly tough warrior princess named Kenna, Abriel fights desperately to return to Herius to prevent the calamity of his childhood from being done to his new community.
