"Grace, Gold & Glory: My Leap of Faith by Gabrielle Douglas was a good listen! Gabrielle‘s parents, especially her mom, had to work very hard to pay for Gabrielle's practices and pay the bills. She was very fortunate to have a family that was so willing to help, financially or otherwise, to get Gabrielle ready for the Olympics in 2012. She had to work very hard at her studies and especially her gymnastics to get to the Olympics and she didn't let anyone stop her on her path. When she moved to Iowa to train with a new coach, she had to stay with a host family and her homesickness almost made her give up on her dream for good but her brother finally convinced her to continue. She became the first black woman to win gold in the all around and her story was truly inspiring!! Recommended!"
