"I love essays that make me feel seen. I came for the comics and stayed for the incredibly astute writing and pin point accuracy of so many similar feelings I have had, especially in my 20s. Sometimes a book comes along that is the right time and right place in your life, and this was that for me. Ahead of another year ending, I’m glad I was able to experience this, and I’m excited to see what else the author shares as I’m sure I will love it!"

"I nearly didn't read this. It was due back to the library in a day and it was 394 pages (some were solid text!!). I tried to renew it but too many people were still waiting for it. So I thought I would read a bit of it, or just check out the artwork. I know Meichi Ng from her Insta account and it was one I enjoy. She is also from Vancouver BC where I live. But, WOW, once I got started I could not put it down. 8 chapters, each covering a part or journey in her life, illustrated with amusing cartoons proved to be an addictive mixture. A real insight into growing up in this modern age. She is very open about her ups and downs - I really related to the imposter syndrome section and the horror of experiencing your friends age and settle down and then watch yourself do the same.

It is kind of hard to classify this book. Graphic novel? Too much text and comics just there to illustrate bits of the story. Autobiography? No, just some selected stories from her life and thoughts on mental health. Best book I have read in some time? Oh YES, highly recommended."
