"I can not rate this book any higher than one star, it was so bad.
1. The story is so predictable and not believable. Two women who have let themselves go and haven’t had sex in years (one of them decades) decide to get back out there and meet their perfect match on their very first date. A former NFL star and a very wealthy businessman. Both men instantly fall in love with them despite their total inexperience, childish and ridiculous comments, and their complete lack of taking care of themselves for years. I’m not saying all fit, successful men want fit ladies but normally if you take care of yourself you also expect your partner to do the same. And although the one lady had only had sex once in her life, 17 years earlier, on her first time back in the game, she gives the NFL player “the best sex of his life”. This seams like a bit of a stretch…. Maybe a secret dream of a lady who is going through a midlife crisis and is out of touch.
2. In the book, the former NFL player isnt upset that his 17 year old daughter is having sex or that she might be not emotionally ready for it, he’s upset because he’s not sure if the young man she is sleeping with is “meeting her needs before getting off”. He has multiple conversations with his teen daughter to make sure she is having at least one ****** before the 17 year boy gets off…WTF. As a parent of a teenager this seems totally inappropriate.
3. The author uses the word “thing” so much. “Are we going to do the sex thing?”
“She was wearing a sweater thing” etc There are so many other words in the English language, please do better.
Also words like cray cray stupid sayings like “what’s up with that?” are such poor choices.
I could go on and on about the poor writing style and how the chapters end in odd places and don’t end in odd places. I felt like I was reading a book written by a cheesy 50 year woman but was penned by a 10 year old kid.
4. Don’t be fooled by the cover. Neither have anything to do with the story."
