From the international bestselling author of The Simple Wild comes Forever Wild, a novella that continues the story of Calla’s journey to the Alaskan wild and a life she never imagined for herself. The holiday season is upon Calla and Jonah, and with the mistletoe and gingerbread comes plenty of family drama. Jonah is bracing himself for two weeks with a stepfather he loathes, and while Calla is looking forward to her mother and Simon’s arrival, she dreads the continued pressure to set a date for their wedding … in Toronto. Add in one bullheaded neighbor’s unintentional meddling and another cantankerous neighbor’s own family strife, and Christmas in Trapper’s Crossing will be anything but simple.

"Great follow up to Simple Wild. Describes hardships of adjusting to life in Alaska and finding a passion. Meeting new people and making new friends even if they don’t want a friendship."

"A fulfilling 4.5 read! This was the perfect Christmas novella and a fitting closed loop circle on Calla and Jonah’s story. I know the series is continuing with Marie, and I can’t wait to read it, but it’s a little bittersweet to see these characters move away from the spotlight.<br/><br/>Still, it was wonderful to revisit with all the people I’ve gotten to know over the past few books and to also revisit a place that has become near and dear to my own heart. I’m not sure I’m saltwort enough to brave Alaska in the winter yet, but after spending a wonderful week there this year, it was lovely to be able to “visit” from the comfort of a warm home! I love Alaska and this story captured all that I miss, and it’s a lovely bookend to this year!"

"Forever Wild by KA Tucker is a novella that gives more to the Calla and Jonah story. The whole family is coming for Christmas - Calla’s mom and Simon, Jonah’s mom and step-dad Bjorn (who does it get along with Jonah), and Agnes and Mabel. Throw in the local “family”, including the curmudgeon neighbor Roy, as well as the pressure from both sides to set a wedding date and it’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks. Again, I really enjoy these books. A little romance and spice without being over the top, complicated family situations, and friends that are truly like family all combine to make a great story. <br/>"
