"Really what a breath of fresh creepy air. I could not figure this book out for the life of me and I love it. The writing reminded me of a cross between Edgar Allen Poe poems and Alice in Wonderland.

It's strange atmosphere was palpable almost as if I was reading myself into the story. I chill crept up my spine at times. I enjoyed the character development too how some seemed so inconsequential to then leap from the page halfway through.

All of it took me by surprise. I detest being able to spoil the ending for myself so this story came as a sweet relief. I honestly can't say why it sticks with me something about it is so strange to the point it may be real..... Also the romance was in the background which added to the plot nicely. Giving out small sweet cake breadcrumbs you couldn't help but gobble up when come upon.

I still wish to hear Alice's story. I wish you know who would have told her. Lucky there will be a Hazel Wood 2.5 so see you soon."
"I really liked the first book, the hazel wood and although this one was pretty slow the first half of the book, it gave me that same feeling the second half and I feel as though this book tied up all the loose ends that didn’t quite make sense about the first book. If you like dark fairytales this book is perfect"

"This book was a nice sequel but there definitely needs to be another. Our main characters finally reunited at the end and then it ends, sort of on a cliff hanger but you’re not totally hanging. This book series is also fairly newer (by a couple of years) and the author herself is working on a different literature piece at the moment, so it may take a while before a new sequel comes out. That’s a fair warning for people who want to read this book. I also really love the fantasy taste and how the author describes the “magic parts” of the book."
"Thank you to Libro.fm, Macmillan Audio and Flat Iron Books for letting me listen and review this audiobook.
This sequel to Hazel Wood was a bit of a let down for me. I didn't really get into this one as much as I thought and hoped I would.
Alice is still trying to figure things out now that she's no longer a character in a fairy tale and decide what to do with her life and Finch is still trying to figure out his adventure in the Hinterland and then the fairy tale characters trying to move on with their lives in New York start having problems and dying and they have to go find out what's happening.
Basically what I got out of this after that is that Finch and Alice decide what they want out of life and have to find their way back to each other and move on with their lives. This might be a spoiler, I'm not sure so I'll hide it in case, but this book seemed a bit unnecessary to me.
If you liked the Hazel Wood a lot, you'll probably like this and also if you're invested in the Finch/Alice relationship, you'll probably want to read or rather listen to it since the audio helps bring what there is of the story to life more."
"Trapped within a world with no sense of time only to awake once the story is read. Albert's writing is eloquent and knows no bounds."
