The remarkable New York Times bestseller! It happens every year before homecoming -- the list is posted all over school. Two girls are picked from each grade. One is named the prettiest, one the ugliest. The girls who aren't picked are quickly forgotten. The girls who are become the center of attention, and each reacts differently to the experience. With THE LIST, Siobhan Vivian deftly takes you into the lives of eight very different girls struggling with issues of identity, self-esteem, and the judgments of their peers. Prettiest or ugliest, once you're on the list, you'll never be the same.

"Terrible ending but a fun, very easy read. "

"I picked up this book not realizing I had already read it a few years back, so my review might be a little biased due to this being my second read. But despite having already read it, most of the characters were pretty unremarkable, so the only one who’s story I remembered at all was Bridget’s. I totally just pushed through this book so I could be done with it and move on to the next. I understand that it showcases the many different struggles that girls experience in highschool, which is important, but it just wasn’t really anything special."
"Wonderfully written story that went through real life of high school. I really related to the characters in the book. In the end I wanted more of the story"

"Once I remembered who each girl was, it was less confusing. But that definitely took awhile. The biggest disappointment was the ending. The whole book built up to nothing. At least we got to know who made the list and some of their reasons. WTH though!?! You couldn't give us anything more? I have at least 30 unanswered questions.<br/><spoiler>1. Does Jennifer ever give up the stamp, or just get rid of it?<br/>2. Does Bridget get help or start eating normally?<br/>3. Do Lisa and Bridget fix their relationship?<br/>4. What happens to Lauren when her mom finds out she not only snuck out, but got wasted and went to the dance.<br/>5. What happens between Sarah and Milo?<br/>6. Are Abby and Fern going to be closer or less hostile towards each other?</spoiler><br/>Just really killing me, thanks..."
"Do you think this book is ok for my friend? She loves reading she is 12."
