"I devoured this series!!! The stories are a product of the time in which they were written-not appropriate for the easily offended. The villains use lots of racist and sexist language. Our protagonist corrects the offensive behavior by belittling the speaker in a way that has them puzzling over the insult long after he has left the scene. Witty dialogue and complex characters. The story takes place over 30 yrs and see the very real aging of the MC. "
