"3.5 <br/><br/>This series revolves around Pater (Luke) who is a deranged & violent man. The first two books I thought were a little better than the last two, only because the shock factor I think had wore off for me by then and felt a little repetitive. The first book follows Taylee (who is Luke’s mother) and Luke, which is a prequel to the series. I read it first, although it was published after Inferno. You get a glimpse into understanding a little of why Pater (Luke) has turned into a monster. Inferno follows Pater and it is a very graphic look inside his home told from the perspective of Jocelyn. Cinere gives you the story from Pater’s twisted and depraved mind. Embers is a continuation of the same world thru Darby’s perspective.<br/><br/>These books are NOT for everyone. They are filled with very taboo subjects, very graphic and violent. There is a fifth book out also by Yolanda in this same world but I have not yet read it. In addition to her books there are many more books by different author’s that are in the same Inferno World that Yolanda Olson has created. I plan to read those in the future. If you love really dark and taboo books then this is the series for you! I don’t want to say too much about the books, go in blind if you don’t have any triggers!"
