I didn’t even want to go to the party. I just wanted to stay home with my librarian-witch grandmother and her mystical book club. But my best friend Skyler begged me. So I went. Not only was it the worst party of my life, it was the last party of my life. I should have known there was something really strange about the band—especially when the lead singer bit me before taking off with my best friend. Now I'm chasing down a band of dangerous vamps with my best guy friend, Vaughn. Who also happens to be the boy I’ve been secretly crushing on forever. And out on the road, anything can happen. All I ever wanted was for things to change with Vaughn. For him to finally see the real me. But this isn’t exactly what I had in mind.So be it. Let the afterlife begin. The Afterlife series is best enjoyed in order.Reading Order:Book #1 The Afterlife of the PartyBook #2 I'm with the BannedBook #3 A Sucker for You

I actually enjoyed this one, which makes me happy because I've been looking forward to reading it for about a year or so. Obviously I love vampires, so when I started this book I immediately excited because hello VAMPIRES!! What I wasn't expecting was the fact that the MC(Tansy) to be a witch or for this story to have any other type of supernatural creatures lol. I didn't mind it much, I think it added to the story but I would have preferred it with only just about vampires lol. I could definitely tell this is a YA series because the writing, I wouldn't say was bad but somethings where missing. I definitely didn't like the miscommunication between Tansy and Vaughn, I mean they either kept changing the subject or just completely disregarded what the other was saying. To say it annoyed me is an understatement. But once they "got together" man that tension was a lot. They're cute together and I like how protective they are of each other. Skyler was a bit annoying, but I understand she was under the vampire influence. Travis was just disgusting. I did like the funny moments in this, it made me laugh. There was moments where the writing and editing processes messed up. I could tell some scenes were either underdeveloped or the editor took something out and thought it sounded okay. It didn't. But other than that, the story was good, I didn't think she'd end up being queen, oh sorry "McQueen". Thank you Rose lol. But I guess that's the formula for a YA fantasy MC. I'm definitely reading the next one though. Good read!"
"Oh what a thrill reading about life where quarantine isn’t a thing.. Thank goodness for books nowadays to take us away, into another world.. with vampires!

The Afterlife of the Party, was definitely what I needed. Lighthearted, full of all the paranormal, witches, vampires, and magic. Fast paced, and quite quirky and fun!

Imagine an adventure to save your BFF, and your other BFF (aka crush) is also in the picture, and well some things go right, while others.. incredibly not right! Friendship, humor, romance, and Vampires! Yes Please!

This title falls under YA, but definitely Middle Grade friendly for anyone interested! I recommend it!"
