A New York Times bestseller.A Washington Post bestseller.A USA Today bestseller.Everyone's favorite lethal SecUnit is back in the next installment in Martha Wells's bestselling and award-winning Murderbot Diaries series.Am I making it worse? I think I'm making it worse.Following the events in Network Effect, the Barish-Estranza corporation has sent rescue ships to a newly-colonized planet in peril, as well as additional SecUnits. But if there’s an ethical corporation out there, Murderbot has yet to find it, and if Barish-Estranza can’t have the planet, they’re sure as hell not leaving without something. If that something just happens to be an entire colony of humans, well, a free workforce is a decent runner-up prize. But there’s something wrong with Murderbot; it isn’t running within normal operational parameters. ART’s crew and the humans from Preservation are doing everything they can to protect the colonists, but with Barish-Estranza’s SecUnit-heavy persuasion teams, they’re going to have to hope Murderbot figures out what’s wrong with itself, and fast!Yeah, this plan is... not going to work. The Murderbot DiariesAll Systems RedArtificial ConditionRogue ProtocolExit StrategyNetwork EffectFugitive TelemetrySystem Collapse

"As the direct follow up to Network Effect (which is my favorite of the series) this book did not quite meet the expectations I had. That said it's still an excellent addition to the Murderbot series. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments and also fast paced, well written action. I enjoyed my time with Murderbot again and the ending has left me excited for the next book."
"Thank you to Tor Publishing Group for the ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This story starts immediately after the end of Network Effect as Murderbot goes on a quest with some familiar humans and ART as they attempt to rescue abandoned colonists on a planet that is suffering from alien contamination from becoming corporate slaves. And yet, throughout the story, Murderbot is still recovering from his last adventure. He's navigating through some mental health struggles following a traumatic incident. This book focuses on the emotional progress of Murderbot and sets up the next story for when he goes on his next galactic adventure. I think this story reminds us all to pause and do our own mental check-ins."
"Okay, please note this book is not a chronological release! I was so confused until I looked it up a few chapters in. It takes place directly after Network Effect, and there are other books that have since come out after that release!

Either way, please give me more Murderbot."
