When my husband died, he left my broken heart behind. He left another heart behind, too-his. I know it's wrong. I shouldn't be contacting the recipient of my husband's heart. I don't even expect him to reply... But there's a desperate, twisted part of me that hopes he will. No names. No personal details. Just a conversation. The only thing I have left of my husband is inside him. WARNING: This book contains heavy themes, such as loss of a loved one and suicide. Please read responsibly. REVIEWS ☆☆☆☆☆ "Mind-blowing. Body-heating. Heart-stealing. He's a tortured hero, and she's a beautiful broken melody, colliding together in death and resurrecting from places within, where 'the beats are loud and songful.' All the damn stars!" Pam Godwin, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling Author "They say there is no reward without pain, and that's how we'd describe The Wrong Heart. This author shredded our hearts to pieces, then stitched them back together with love, sincerity, and a whole lot of clever and insightful storytelling. The Wrong Heart has left an indelible mark on our hearts, as we're still living every moment of this unforgettable emotionally stirring story of love, grief, and second chances." Totally Booked Blog "There are books where you read the last page and then move on with your life, and then there are BOOKS which even after the last page, stays with you forever. THIS is one of those books." Lilith Seven Reviews "This is a beautifully woven tale of the greatest of losses, consisting of well-developed, beautifully broken characters and a heartbreakingly hopeful story that not only turned my emotions inside out and upside down, but forever changed me because it was so impactful! After reading this book, I am forever changed, not just by Parker and Melody, but in the way Jennifer magnifies real-life lessons that she imparts throughout the novel. After reading this, I have a deeper appreciation for all I have in my life and the value of small moments." Jennifer Hahn, Goodreads Reviewer

"“We hold a key to our own happiness, and what we put on the other side of that door is entirely up to us.” 💞Wow! This book was something else. My heart feels for Parker and Melody. ❤️ They had so much loss, heartache, pain, but through all of it they found the sunshine together. 💛☀️🌻This sorta was so beautiful and heartfelt🥹❤️🥰 "
"<strong>Torn</strong><br/><br/>I thought I was really gonna like this. I was really into it. These 2 characters were broken and I thought it was gearing up to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, as great as Melody is, Parker is a let down. Melody is so giving, hopeful and understanding, but Parker just wallows in his self pitybfor far too long. I have no idea what Melody saw in him. The deeper into the story you get it just gets repetitive. The same scene occurs multiple times and there's no real connection made between these 2 characters other than the non stop sex. The author does a decent job of trying to give those scenes weight, buy they're ultimately just Parker talking dirty to Melody and having sex with her as detached and as crudely as possible. Every sex scene left me more confused as to why Melody was attracted to Parker. There's a twist I didn't see coming but it fell a little flat in the follow through because I thought the bridge scene was a little much in how it comes full circle. If Parker was going to be put in that kind of situation I would have much preferred it be with Owen. It would have been more impactful. The epilogue was an absolute gut punch and almost got me to give this book 4 stars because it's rare that an author will give you a glimpse that far down the road, but ultimately the 3rd quarter of this book was just too repetitive and their love story took a back seat to their sex lives. I still liked the book, but I was ultimately disappointed because I got my hopes up. Not one I'll read again, but I encourage you to read it once."

"I just added The Wrong Heart to my top ten books of the year. The Wrong Heart is a standalone, written single POV in Melody and Parker’s point of you. Here is my suggestion have water and an entire box of tissues, you know, the one with aloe. You will need it. <br/><br/>Two words: Painfully Beautiful. The book captivated me from page one from the painful email written so eloquently (not only did I cry, but it shook my soul) to the end, and everywhere between, I cried for pain, grief, love, and happiness. <br/><br/><br/> Melody is such a sweetheart with a fresh breath of air. She is brilliant, Strong, plus a girl after my own heart with those cupcakes and peanut butter and banana sandwiches. She lost her light and is worried she lost it forever.<br/><br/>Parker is so angry with the world. He is grumpy with no filter and stays away from people. He barely existed. I had to ask myself what happened to him. As Parker’s backstory unfolds, we found out what made him this way. I love and am genuinely touched by Parker’s character growth. Five stars on that alone.<br/><br/> Melody and Parker’s love story is flawed, painful, beautiful, and fell into the depths of my soul. Parker is intrigued from day one when he met Melody, and it ****** him off. Melody saw Parker, no one besides his sister had seen him. Melody is relentless and peels back his layers. <br/><br/><b> <br/>“You’re the guiding light in a dark sky,” Parker murmurs, his breath tickling the top of my head. “You shine strong when the rest of the world is asleep… when no one is even looking.”<br/> <br/><p><br/>I knew going in the author would crack my heart wide open and slowly put it back together, and she did just that. She sets the bar high with every book and has yet to disappoint me."
