"The horse. The horse is my favorite character in this book, hands down. <br/><br/>I'm listening to this series instead of reading it in print and every time I start listening I tell myself "maybe this would be better if I were reading it". The narrator has an unnatural cadence for the general narration, main character, and female characters. However, most of the male characters are perfectly expressed! So weird. Anyhow, the story itself has me engaged so as long as these books are included in my Audible membership I'll keep reading them. This is a filler series for me until I find something really good to read or listen to."
