"A good ghost's story with a lot of unexpected twists that'll keep you in your toes. "

"I almost DNF'd this book and I don't say that lightly. I love Darcy Coates but this book seemed so long and drawn out. It started off strong with the first few chapters but then it went south. I felt like she over explained every single thing that went on in this woman's life to the point I was ready to quit. BUT since it was my first book of 2024 I just couldn't make it a DNF. So I powered through and finally got to the end. I will have to say that the ending was okay but I could have saved my time for one of her other books. I do not recommend this book."

"Another brilliant book by Darcy Coates. I loved this one too. This was different, and it took a bit for me to figure things out as I was a bit lost at first for the first chapter or two, but once I knew what was happening, I was enthralled and couldn't stop reading until the end. I wanted to know what was going on and everything. The answers to the questions were not quite what I was expecting, and it surprised me that I didn't figure it out myself. I love gothic supernatural mystery/thrillers like this and Darcy Coates writes amazingly well with her stories in this genre."
