"I wish this was better but it was just so annoying and so icky. It also low-key feels like it was written by ai with how often the words "male" or "female" were used instead of any other word that could be used for a man or woman. Most of the time those words were unnecessary. Also, a couple scenes borderlining on SA, both in this book and the last WHAT. Too many occurances to let it slide. Lexi Ryan, you should be on a watch list. "
"5/5 ⭐️
So I am giving this a 5 because of the feelings I gave me. I’m not be objective. because the ending did feel rush and this could have easily been a trilogy. this book gave me more Finn (loml) so I won’t complain but book one was better handled.
over all I loved Brie’s growth, as well as actually getting to know Finn and all his mysterious. I imagined a different ending but the one we got wasn’t bad either. Just felt rushed and a little shaky. I did not see Bash redeeming himself like that.
Shadow prince Finnian, you have left a mark on me. I will love you forever <3

"I felt like I was immersed in the story and not reading it. Honestly better than the first book l, the character depth was amazing. The adventure was believable. The world was well developed.Did have a surprise spicy scene after everything else was pretty closed door. I was very sad to leave these characters at the end. 9/10"
"So I don’t frequently read a lot of YA anymore. And when I do I’m usually bored or it isn’t enough for me. This was not the case with this duology. I basically inhaled these two books. I mean, I did happen to be home sick just binge reading, but still I loved this series and the characters.
I’m also not usually one for the love triangle thing but that worked well for this series.
I’d say if you like fae romantasy, shadow magic, and the love triangle trope, this is def for you. There is a little spice in this book, but it’s mild.
Honestly, Finn reminded me of a watered down Rhys and Sebastian reminded me of Tamlin. And no, I’m not someone that compares ACOTAR to everything. But the parallels are there.
So yea I was clearly team Finn the whole time and I have a bit of a book hangover. I think I’ll check out more by this author."
