NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERNow a Hulu original series “If three characters were good in Big Little Lies, nine are even better in Nine Perfect Strangers.” —Lisa Scottoline, The New York Times Book ReviewFrom the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Big Little LiesCould ten days at a health resort really change you forever? In Liane Moriarty’s latest page-turner, nine perfect strangers are about to find out...Nine people gather at a remote health resort. Some are here to lose weight, some are here to get a reboot on life, some are here for reasons they can’t even admit to themselves. Amidst all of the luxury and pampering, the mindfulness and meditation, they know these ten days might involve some real work. But none of them could imagine just how challenging the next ten days are going to be.Frances Welty, the formerly best-selling romantic novelist, arrives at Tranquillum House nursing a bad back, a broken heart, and an exquisitely painful paper cut. She’s immediately intrigued by her fellow guests. Most of them don’t look to be in need of a health resort at all. But the person that intrigues her most is the strange and charismatic owner/director of Tranquillum House. Could this person really have the answers Frances didn’t even know she was seeking? Should Frances put aside her doubts and immerse herself in everything Tranquillum House has to offer – or should she run while she still can? It’s not long before every guest at Tranquillum House is asking exactly the same question.Combining all of the hallmarks that have made her writing a go-to for anyone looking for wickedly smart, page-turning fiction that will make you laugh and gasp, Liane Moriarty’s Nine Perfect Strangers once again shows why she is a master of her craft.

"3.5⭐

Nine Perfect Strangers is my second Liane Moriarty book - this one is quite different from Big Little Lies, but I still enjoyed my time reading it overall.

This book is a long character study. There's a large cast, and the chapters alternate between their perspectives. I think it was good to see different people's perspectives on the wellness retreat, and it was fun to eventually learn why they each made the decision to go.

Nine Perfect Strangers has a promising set-up, but it just wasn't sinister enough for me. It's clear that something is going on, but I wanted more cold calculation and manipulation. I was waiting for evil that didn't really come, and I feel like it was a missed opportunity. This story gets a little more disjointed as it goes on.

It was a little bit too long, and I found myself skimming at times. That being sad, I did enjoy reading this book. I enjoyed it more than most of my other 3⭐ books, but there wasn't enough going on to hook a higher rating from me.

This one wasn't my favorite, but I will still be reading whatever Liane Moriarty does next. Thank you so much to Flatiron Books for sending me a copy to review!"

"BIG Disappointment. It sort of builds and the big reveal is SUCH a let down. It’s the 1st time I felt let down by a book. Expected at least mediocre. Hopefully the writers of the show fix it for the tv viewers, but it was so bad… I won’t be giving the show a chance."

"My first Moriarty read. Definitely not my last! This book kept me on the edge of my seat! Always questioning “what’ll happen now?”. It took less than 24 hours to read as I only put it down to eat, and sleep! I have already downloaded The Husband’s Secret ebook version, and I’m looking forward with anticipation of becoming a huge Moriarty fan"
