"Book two of the trilogy and another winner!

Pros:

Watching how different characters respond to their own pain or pain in others is really interesting and tells more about who they are than most people can say on their own. Avery is someone who will go to the ends of the earth for the people she cares about but she has a hard time trusting and letting them in to help her. Watching her friends/family help chip away at those personal walls so she can grow and heal is really beautiful.

We get a lot more family scenes here and it makes the desire to join in even stronger!

Cons:

While Owen and Avery balance each other pretty well it is a bit frustrating that she seems to be the messy one and he pretty much is just too perfect to be true. That’s oversimplifying it but often it feels like women are played off as the messy ones and men only are messy in relationships like sleeping around and being careless."
