"I’m in awe of Legrand’s prowess with words. Her imagination is surreal as she dives us into the second book of the trilogy. I can’t wait for the final book!

12/30/2019 This is one of those books that I knew I read but couldn’t remember a darn thing about the storyline, so like any faithful reader, I read it again. And then it all came back to me. The suspense and creative characters, but the real clincher is the ending. Without giving anything away and to refresh my own memory so I don’t read it again... I was totally surprised, saddened and awestruck about the ending. But mostly sad. I was just rooting for the two characters and come to find out one is duplicitous. Not sure I really like this ending. Scratch that. I don’t like the ending. And after reading this a second time around and having put more thought into it I just don’t know if I want to know how the third book plays out. Now don’t get me wrong. It doesn’t mean I wont read it. Just that I will pick up the book with trepidation and plow forward with high hopes."
