"Even though this book was written in 1917, it is still very relevant in 2019. This was an enjoyable book to listen to and I felt the main character, Charity, was very well fleshed out. I empathized with her life situation and the outcome of her choices. While not exactly a "happy ending" , the book ended in a way that suited Charity's life situation best."
