"Ten people get selected by surveillance company Fusion and CIA to “go zero.” They each must disappear and leave zero digital footprint for 30 days. Anyone remaining undiscovered by Fusion’s extraordinary e-surveillance software and teams gets $3 million. The pace was quick. About two thirds through the book, the story took a turn, the going zero portion faded away and the final third filled with other story lines I found less interesting. The author of Going Zero, Anthony McCarten, is a successful screenwriter of Theory of Everything, The Darkest Hour and Bohemian Rhapsody. With McCarten’s pedigree, I will read another of his books."
"Quick page turner, especially with some of the chapters being so short you couldn’t help but move onto the next one/character perspective. Definitely stayed up a few nights too late reading this. Ending not what I expected. This was a good book to break into the thriller genre, which I haven’t read much of before. Great bookclub read! "
"This started out good, but the twist took the story to a place that was just dull. "
