"I wanted to really like this. I finished watching the tv show and thought the books should be just as good. Only they aren't. Instead I found a book written as if it were made for first graders. It was overly simplistic and while the plot seemed interesting, the story was mediocre. So mediocre, in fact, I was surprised that this was something that actually made it to film. But luckily the tv show is much better. It rarely works out that way."
"Right off the back, the descriptions of the characters don’t match the tv shows. I’d rather watch the 90s series, than the 2020 one and this book is not what I expected. Maybe it was written before any of these shows were made, but they could’ve been more accurate with the characters. Whether it was the book or series."
